About Us.

Mohit Kamboj Foundation was established on 31 st July 2013. Our vision is to be a strategic leadership organisation influencing social transformation through developmental programmers. To work towards creating a better Mumbai which provides basic health, education and empowerment to every citizen.

Mohit Kamboj Foundation sees that every child deserves the best chance for a bright future. That’s why we are fiercely committed to ensuring children not only survive, but thrive. Bold in our ambition and powerful in our care, we do whatever it takes to save the Mumbai’s malnourished, education deprived children.

Our pioneering programmes addresses children’s unique needs by giving them a healthy start, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. When crisis strikes, we are always among the first to respond and the last to leave. We are outspoken champions for children, ensuring their voices are heard and their issues are given top priority.

Mohit Kamboj Foundation realised that Education for Children cannot be achieved without the family, particularly, unless the mother is assured of health care and empowered. Moreover, when an elder sibling is educated and relevantly skilled to be employable and begins earning, the journey of empowerment continues beyond the present generation.

Mohit Kamboj Foundation is a non-profit organisation that believes in all women and girls and their right to create new opportunities for themselves and their communities. Our main focus is to empower women so much so that they can participate not only in the decision making process but in the planning and execution too.

Our organisations work has changed lives of rural women and adolescent girls especially to the youth. We have formed a large number of self help groups and it has changed their lives. Now they are self dependent in which they are engaged in employment activities.

Our mission is to end hunger and poverty by pioneering sustainable, grassroots, women-centred strategies and advocating for their widespread adoption in Mumbai. Because we think that all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights, including the right to food, health, work and education. The inherent nature of every person is creative, resourceful, self-reliant, responsible and productive. We must not treat people living in conditions of hunger as beneficiaries, which can crush dignity, but rather as the key resource for ending hunger. As we look ahead to the next 10 years we are embarking on a process of revamping our program to become more gender sensitive, youth focused, and trauma informed.
